An international postage stamp dedicated to Albert Agarunov has been issued in Amsterdam
An international postage stamp dedicated to the memory of Azerbaijan's National Hero Albert Agarunov has been issued in the Netherlands at the initiative of our compatriot Saltanat Ravangizi, who lives in Amsterdam.
A stamp prepared as part of the "Pearls of Azerbaijan" project describes the image of Albert Agarunov, an ethnic Jew who died for defending Shusha during the First Karabakh War. The stamps were printed by the official national postal operator PostNL in the Netherlands.
Saltanat Ravangizi said that, the aim was to draw the attention of the Dutch to the fact that Azerbaijan has always been a multicultural and tolerant country, that all nations living here as a family contributing to the prosperity of our country and uniting as a fist against the enemy.
It should be noted that, befores, the project issued postage stamps dedicated to the 98th anniversary of the great politician and statesman Heydar Aliyev, the flower "Khari Bulbul" and the works of People's Artist Sakit Mammadov.
