Canadian MPs congratulated our compatriots on Novruz holiday

A group of members of the Canadian Parliament congratulated the Azerbaijani community living in Canada on the occasion of Novruz holiday.
Parliamentarians Catherine McKenna, Erin O'Toole, Chandra Arya, Jim Carr, Jonathan Wilkinson, Joyce Murray, Kenny Chiu, Nelly Shin and Terry Duguid called this special day the awakening of nature and a new beginning in their congratulatory letters to our compatriots. It was stressed that it is a sign of optimism and hope for a better future, and promotes the values of peace and solidarity.
The deputies, who told “Happy Novruz holiday” expression in English and Azerbaijani, noted that this year the Azerbaijani community celebrated the holiday virtually in accordance with the rules of the pandemic. They praised this act in terms of protecting people's health and safety.
They expressed confidence and hope that with the arrival of spring, there will be warmer and brighter days ahead, and that in the future Azerbaijanis will come together again and celebrate Novruz in a mass, prosperity and joy.
