Balloons were released into the air in memory of the victims of the Khojaly tragedy in Florida
A commemorative event on the 29th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held in the center of Miami, Florida at the initiative of the Florida Azerbaijani Society and supported by the State Committee on Work with Diaspora.
The memory of the victims of the Khojaly genocide was commemorated with a minute of silence. During the event, black balloons were released into the air in memory of those killed during the Khojaly massacre and a stand with the slogan "Justice for Khojaly!" was placed.
The chairman of the society Esmira Bayramova gave detailed information about the Khojaly genocide to both members of the society and those interested in the event in the area. She said that in order to recognize the Khojaly genocide, one of the bloodiest pages of mankind, and to give a political and legal assessment, every member of the diaspora and organization must work closely with the local community and media, act consistently and systematically.
