The “GALA” society in Greece has organized a video conference dedicated to the Khojaly genocide
A video conference dedicated to the 29th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide was held at the initiative of the “GALA” Greek-Azerbaijani Friendship Society.
The conference began with a minute of silence in memory of the victims of the Khojaly genocide.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Greece and Albania Anar Huseynov, MP, Head of the Azerbaijan-Greece Interparliamentary Working Group Bahruz Maharramov, MP Elman Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Vagif Seyidbeyov, Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Thessaloniki Efe Jeylan, Chairman of the "Gala" Greek-Azerbaijani Friendship Society Rashid Mammadov, Deputy Chairman of the State Committee for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons Fuad Huseynov, Head of Khojaly City Executive Power Shahmar Usubov, Dean of BSU Faculty of Law, Doctor of Law, Professor Amir Aliyev, Chairman of the Public Union for Support of Journalists to Diaspora Activities Fuad Huseynzade, researcher-expert Elnur Elturk, political scientist, political commentator Ilyas Huseynov spoke at the event moderated by the Secretary General of the Friendship Society Salatin Mammadli.
Calling the Khojaly genocide an unprecedented atrocity and "the bloodiest stain" on Armenia's aggressive policy against our people, the speakers said that this massacre is one of the gravest crimes committed not only against the Azerbaijani people, but against all mankind.
It was noted that as a result of the consistent policy pursued by the Azerbaijani state, February 26 is celebrated as a day of remembrance in various countries, and the realities of Khojaly are brought to the attention of the world community and the international community.
