The program broadcast in The Hague informed about Nizami Ganjavi

At the initiative of the Netherlands- Azerbaijan Turkish Cultural Center in The Hague, the Netherlands, a program dedicated to the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi was broadcast on YouTube.
The guest of the online program was writer Orhan Aras who lives in Germany. The host of the program was chairman of the Netherlands-Azerbaijan Turkish Cultural Center Ilhan Ashkin who reminded that President Ilham Aliyev issued an order declaring 2021 the "Year of Nizami Ganjavi" on the occasion of the 880th anniversary of the powerful master of words and ideas.
Giving detailed information about Nizami Ganjavi's life and work in the ancient Azerbaijani city of Ganja, Orkhan Aras said that the famous poet's "Khamsa" had a serious impact on world literature and laid the foundation of a great literary school. This can be felt in the works of Mohammad Fuzuli, Jalaladdin Rumi Mevlana, Alisher Navoi, Sadi Shirazi and other classical poets and thinkers. It was noted that his style and brilliant speech were compared to the style of the great European poets as Dante, Shakespeare, Goethe and Schiller.
During the event, N. Ganjavi's place and position in Eastern and world literature, artistic merits of his poems, humanist ideas were discussed. The discussions focused on the positive impact of Nizami Ganjavi's works on the creative activity of many modern European orientalists.
It was noted that diaspora organizations and our compatriots should study and promote the works of the great poet in the countries where they live.
