The Integration Center of Georgian Azerbaijanis held an event dedicated to the Solidarity Day

An event on the occasion of December 31 - the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and the New Year was held at the Integration Center of Georgian Azerbaijanis in Marneuli.
The event, organized with the support of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, was attended by a group of teachers and students of the remote Khojorni village school of Marneuli region. Welcoming the guests and congratulating them on the Victory Day, Solidarity Day and New Year of Azerbaijan, Executive Director of İCGA Rafig Hummat said that due to the global pandemic, it is impossible to celebrate the holidays in a crowded way. He noted that as citizens of Georgia, they have all the rights of other nations in the country, but they are proud to have a national state called the Republic of Azerbaijan, which never forget our compatriots. "In the example of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, I thank the Azerbaijani state for not forgetting our compatriots living abroad, despite 44 days of heavy fighting, and supporting them as much as possible."
During the event, students of Khojorni village school Minavar and Elif Ibadova, Tural Mammadov, Shamil Nabiyev, Guluzar Nabiyeva recited poems dedicated to the homeland, nation, Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey friendship. Then, students and teachers were presented with New Year's gifts, prizes, about 30 books in 4 titles in Azerbaijani and Georgian languages, and our tricolor flags presented by the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia.
Speaking on behalf of the school staff, teachers Anar Sharifov and Huseyn Abdurrahmanov congratulated our people on the Victory Day and thanked the Azerbaijani state and President for their attention and care: "Although we live far away, our hearts always beat with Azerbaijan. We thank the Azerbaijani state, our President, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev."
