A video conference dedicated to the results of the "Year of Volunteers" was held

At the initiative of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora, a video conference was held on the results of the "Year of Volunteers" with the participation of volunteers of the Diaspora Volunteers and the “Regional Development” Public Union.
The event firstly commemorated the memory of our martyrs died in the Patriotic War with a minute of silence.
The video conference, moderated by Dashgin Rajabli, Head of Apparatus of the State Committee, began with a demonstration of a composition on the National Anthem performed by volunteers of the RDPU.
Welcoming the participants of the video conference, Chairman of the State Committee on Work with Diaspora Fuad Muradov congratulated each volunteer on the glorious Victory of our country, the Solidarity Day of World Azerbaijanis and the upcoming New Year. Recalling the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated December 30, 2019 on declaring 2020 the "Year of Volunteers", the chairman of the committee said that the state has taken all necessary steps to promote this activity. As a result, the volunteers lived up to their expectations in many areas of activity, including the diaspora movement.
The activities of Diaspora and RDPU volunteers, as well as our young compatriots living abroad during the global coronavirus pandemic, the Tovuz provocations and the 44-day Patriotic War were praised. The chairman of the committee thanked the volunteers of the Diaspora and RDPU, as well as our young compatriots living abroad, who demonstrated patriotism, initiative, creativity, innovative thinking and modern outlook, and wished them success in their future endeavors.
The event continued with the demonstration of a video about the activities of Diaspora Volunteers and the anthem "Volunteers" prepared by the RDPU.
Then the head of the Baku Regional Branch of the RDPU Elvin Aslanov, the coordinator of the "Azerbaijan Diaspora Volunteers" program Bakhtiyar Rahimov and volunteers delivered speech.
In their speeches, they thanked the head of state, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, heads of various government agencies for the conditions created for the activities of volunteers, informed about the work done, noted the activities of volunteers in the information war on social networks, and discussed future tasks.
The video conference ended with the presentation of letters of thanks to those distinguished for their special activity on the “Karabakh is Azerbaijan!” National Platform in 2020, and a joint appeal by volunteers from the Diaspora and the Regional Development Public Union to Azerbaijani youth around the world on the occasion of December 31 - World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day.
